MORE Private Travel Tips; by Expert Ashley Qwabe

Are you dreaming of seeing lions on safari or snorkeling the warm waters of Mozambique? My name is Ashley Qwabe and I spend my day putting together bucket list trips for travelers. I’ve learnt a thing or two about what makes an unforgettable visit to South Africa.

I’m a 32year old born and bred “Joburger” with a love for muscle cars. I studied hotel management before joining MORE. My favourite international destinations are Germany and Mozambique. Back home, I do love Kruger National Park and the Garden Route but there is a very special place in my heart for Cape Town.

My top tip for travelling to South Africa is to find someone who can help you put together your dream itinerary and let them handle the entire booking for you. This way you have one person who can connect all the dots and ensure a smooth and memorable trip. Keep your holiday free from the stress of worrying if something was booked. Let my team greet you when you step through customs and whisk you away to begin your holiday.

Plan your time in Southern Africa to start with the vibrant city of Cape Town, transition to the bush and end at the beach. With the increased flights from KMIA to Vilanculus, there is no need to fit this into the start or middle of your trip.

When you’re in Cape Town, give yourself a minimum of three nights. The city is filled with different experiences, not to mention the surrounding winelands, and you don’t want to miss a thing. I recommend booking a few day trips with MORE Private Travel Tours. Ask for Abdul, he knows the city better than the back of his hand.

South Africa is a country filled with diversity – from the cultures to the food. Be willing to embrace it all. From Cape Malay cuisine to mopane worms, don’t be afraid to try what is on offer.

One of the benefits of a luxury safari lodge is the fact that it’s all inclusive. You literally arrive at the lodge and the team take care of everything for you! While it’s important to take your camera with when you go on safari, take time to be in the moment and live the experience.

Feel free to get in touch with me and let’s begin putting together your perfect city, bush and beach itinerary.
