Mara-Dikwe Air Taxi daily service lets you experience more on your South African safari by conveniently connecting Johannesburg and two of MORE’s luxury safari properties: Madikwe Safari Lodge, Madikwe Game Reserve and Marataba South Africa, Marakele National Park.

What’s more, guests who book a three-night stay at each property (six nights in total) get all three of their flights on Mara-Dikwe Air Taxi free! Click here for full details…

Madikwe and Marataba each offer the full safari experience being located within Big Five sanctuaries, which are also home to an abundance of other mammals, birds, and reptiles, as well as diverse flora. Madikwe is especially proud of its flourishing population of endangered African wild dog and Marataba of its black rhino – a species classified critically endangered.

Twice-daily game drives (included in the accommodation rates) take you out onto the reserves at sunrise and again just before sunset in search of both their diurnal and nocturnal animals. These are truly personal experiences, taking no more than eight guests accompanied by your field guide within very close range of Africa’s most impressive wildlife. Your photographs will be spectacular!

And there’s no need for the kids to suffer FOMO – both Madikwe Safari Lodge and Marataba South Africa are situated in malaria-free reserves, making them popular family destinations. Madikwe’s Lelapa Lodge and Marataba’s Safari Lodge are the most family-friendly, with accommodations, meal choices, and activities to get toddlers to teens settled in and having a roaring good time.

In addition to morning family game drives, the Eco House (at Lelapa Lodge) and Eco Garden (at Safari Lodge) centres take care of all entertainment for our young guests’. We are always thrilled to see them disconnecting from the digital sphere as they become engaged in the many fascinations of nature, as well as sporting and creative activities, with newfound friends.

While you do have the option of joining in with your kids, you’ll probably be told: “No parents allowed!” Might we suggest spa therapies and poolside cocktails, instead?
