Yvonne Pienaar
Yvonne joined the Collection in 2025, bringing with her significant expertise in human resources management. With her calm and confident approach, she leads our HR function with a genuine passion for nurturing talent and fostering organisational growth. Her commitment to creating a positive and impactful workplace culture for our people aligns perfectly with our values, while her strategic vision helps shape the future of our evolving business.
Andre Nordier
Andre started his journey with us in 2019. Driven by a passion for what we do, he constantly looks for ways we can make it better. He identifies areas of the organisation that can be expanded upon and developed, supporting the growth of our business, all whilst skilfully nurturing our partnerships.
Helen von Broembsen
Helen joined The Collection in 2004 and has played a key role in our growth and expansion. Leading the sales and reservations teams in building partnerships with the travel trade has been her driving passion. She is inspired by our amazing people and places that create a space for our guests to share a little piece of our beautiful world.
Sifiso Ngobende
Sifiso joined the team in 2019, bringing new insight and energy to our business objectives and ensuring we stay viable and on track. His keen eye for detail contributes to the growth of our business, and in turn the personal growth of our people, and enables us to respond generously to communities and conservation.
Jopie van Rooyen
Jopie joined Lion Sands in 2010 and became General Manager of Ivory and River Lodges. In 2023, she moved into her new role overseeing the operations of all our Lodges and Hotels. She guides our people to always give their best, to be aware of where they can respond generously and ensure a memorable experience for our guests.
Kyle Warmback
Kyle joined us in 2023 and ensures alignment in how we convey our story to our guests, our travel partners, and our stakeholders, always mindful of how we can enrich lives in all that we do. Kyle thrives on connecting the dots and being strategic to achieve measurable results across our business strategies by working with a driven and passionate team.
Alan Rose
Alan has been with our family since 2012. He was General Manager of the Cape Cadogan and More Quarters and is now heading up our expanding Residences collection and overseeing the growth of our wellness interest. His priority is in ensuring every guest is treated exceptionally and is just as dedicated to our people in his care.
Amori Burger
Amori is the creative force behind Cape Town's Upper Union Restaurant. She joined MORE Collection in 2021, leading the kitchens at Lion Sands Ivory Lodge and River Lodge before opening Upper Union in 2022. Now, as Group Executive Chef, she leads our culinary experience across the collection. A Silwood School of Cookery graduate, her bold, vibrant cooking style is inspired by family Sunday lunches where people gather and connect over good food. Her philosophy remains constant: food is a meaningful part of the guest experience, delivered with care.

Our Journey Specialists are the planners who bring each MORE Collection journey to life. With a deep understanding of lodges, hotels, and residences both within the Collection and across South and East Africa, they design seamless itineraries that reflect both the richness of Africa and the individuality of every guest. Kingsby Senoamali
"My first experience flying in a small aircraft across the Okavango Delta. I had been on safaris before, but nothing prepared me for that moment." I have been fortunate to travel extensively through Southern and East Africa over two decades in this industry. As an active traveller, climbing the dunes in Namib Naukluft, canoeing on the Lower Zambezi River, and learning to snorkel for the first time in the Bazaruto Archipelago have been some of my most treasured highlights. Given a free roundtrip ticket, I would pack my bags for an East Africa expedition without hesitation.

Louise Alkema
I love my family and am passionate about nature and animals. I have over 20 years of experience in the tourism and hospitality industry, which includes working at Disney World Animal Kingdom, teaching English in Poland, and creating and selling luxury safari journeys to Africa. I am also deeply committed to sustainability and conservation. My favourite travel destinations are Botswana and Madagascar, but I also love visiting Tanzania. Uganda and Reunion are on my bucket list of places to visit.
Lerato Chapi
“I am passionate about all things planet, people, and wildlife.” I have always been the welcoming face, the first point of contact for travellers stepping into South Africa - Whether it is their first adventure or a familiar journey. One of my most memorable travel moments was witnessing the beauty of the African wilderness and animal behaviour in their natural habitat. I had some awesome sightings of a female leopard lounging in the treetop, clinging, and feeding on its prey while hyenas observed closely, hoping to catch some remains. This opportunity allowed me to be immersed in nature in the breathtaking region of Lion Sands Private Game Reserve.

Mark Broodryk
Mark joined Lion Sands in 2023. Since he was young, he has been visiting the Kruger National Park and has had a deep passion for nature and wildlife, starting his career as a field guide. He loves to motivate others to create the best experiences for both our people and guests. Sustainability is at the forefront of his mind and he constantly looks for ways to make changes that are better for all.
Nadia Pent
Nadia started her journey at Lion Sands River Lodge as Camp Manager in 2019. Her love for hospitality soon meant she was promoted to Lodge Manager. In her position at Marataba, she leads her team with passion and together they are focused on elevating the guest experience, ensuring all leave with irreplaceable memories.

With a career spanning nearly two decades with MORE Collection, Gawie’s journey began in 2002 as a Field Guide at Lion Sands. His deep passion for nature and people has shaped every step of his career — from starting Marataba with his wife to serving as Group Safari Manager. Gawie is driven by a genuine commitment to developing others, thriving on structure and values, and creating meaningful experiences that turn dreams into reality.
