Executive Chef Amori Burger has led Upper Union since it opened in 2022. Inspired by a lifelong love of cooking for friends and family, she has created a restaurant where generous food, bold flavours and genuine hospitality bring people together around the table.

Every menu reflects her pursuit of the perfect bite, pairing carefully sourced ingredients with balanced textures and thoughtful creativity to create dishes designed to be shared. Under Amori's leadership, Upper Union has earned recognition from the Eat Out Woolworths Restaurant Awards, Luxe Restaurant Awards and JHP Gourmet Guide.

From Morning to Evening

Breakfast at Upper Union is reserved exclusively for Cape Cadogan guests. Fresh pastries, expertly brewed coffee and a seasonal à la carte menu provide a relaxed start before a day exploring Cape Town.

From lunch onwards, Upper Union opens its doors to the city, welcoming locals and visitors alike. Just steps from Cape Cadogan, it's one of Kloof Street Neighbourhood’s favourite restaurants, giving guests the opportunity to dine alongside locals during their stay.
