Our Family is so much bigger than my children and my grandchildren. I have had the privilege of being the custodian of this incredible land for 80 years. Our family home belongs to the rich natural kingdom, our people and our guests. Being able to share this extraordinary place with so many others, and contributing to its sustainability for generations to come, has been such a gift.

a family

Founded in the early 1930s by my great grandfather, Guy Aubrey Chalkley, MORE Family Collection – as we are now known – is led by its 4th generation.

Taking as inspiration the many blessings we were so fortunate to enjoy in our childhoods, Nick (my brother), Britt (my wife) and I worked hard to create a unique and life enriching collection of experiences, which span the most breathtaking regions in Southern Africa.

As a community of people, we are personal, private, family owned and managed. We are human and are always learning. We are completely committed to our guests and the many exceptional people who deliver our incredible story.

Sean took the reins in 2023 following the refurbishment of Cape Cadogan. He is passionate about hospitality and loves to interact with our guests. Together with his team, he constantly looks for ways to create unforgettable experiences for our guests. To ensure that we provide the best service, Sean believes in keeping his team engaged and involved at all times.

Alan has been with our family since 2012. He was General Manager of the Cape Cadogan and More Quarters and is now heading up our expanding Residences collection and overseeing the growth of our Wellness interest. His priority is in ensuring every guest is treated exceptionally and is just as dedicated to our people in his care.

Andile is a passionate and experienced member of the More Family Collection Concierge team, who has been working with the company since 2016. His role as a concierge executive has allowed him to hone his skills in recommending the best places to visit, sights to see, and activities to enjoy while exploring Southern Africa. Whether guests are looking for the best safari experiences, the most scenic hiking trails, or the top restaurants and bars in a particular city, Andile has the expertise and connections to ensure that they have an unforgettable trip.

Andre started his journey with us in 2019. Driven by a passion for what we do, he constantly looks for ways we can make it better. He identifies areas of the organisation that can be expanded upon and developed, supporting the growth of our business, all whilst skilfully nurturing our partnerships.

Sifiso joined the team in 2019, bringing new insight and energy to our business objectives and ensuring we stay viable and on track. His key eye on the details contributes to the growth of our business, and in turn the personal growth of our people, and enables us to respond generously to communities and conservation.

Nadia started her journey at Lion Sands River Lodge as Camp Manager in 2019. Her love for hospitality soon meant she was promoted to Lodge Manager. In her position at Marataba, she leads her team with passion and together they are focused on elevating the guest experience, ensuring all leave with irreplaceable memories.
